In 2021, King Koil expanded the 40 thousand-square feet manufacturing facility in Avondale, Arizona, United States. It increased its production space by nearly 50 percent.

Thus, King Koil manufactures its mattresses in its manufacturing facilities as well as in companies with production licenses from this company.

Though King Koil is under Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad, it was not under this Malaysian company previously. Candace Caldwell Smith was the owner of King Koil.

All the operations of King Koil production before 12 February 2015 were under Candace Caldwell Smith. On that following date, she sold King Koil to Jin Hoe Yeoh, owner of Kaiserkorp Corporation Sdn Bhd.

After handing over the company to Kaiserkorp Corporation Sdn Bhd, King Koil started operating in Malaysia. But in 2016, after Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Bhd bought a 60 percent stake, it went under this company.

In 1898, King Koil’s mattress business started in the hands of a young man, Samuel Bronstein. He founded this company in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. In the beginning, the company’s name was United States Bedding.
